No. We use only zinc core wicks in our candles, which have been proven to be totally safe.

Each of our candles will burn for approximately 75 hours.

How do you keep a candle from smoking? |

If your candle is smoking, the wick is too long. Simply extinguish your candle, trim the wick, and re-light it.

Fire and Hot Wax
KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN AND PETS
Use and store on a level, non-flammable and well ventilated surface away from walls, curtains, paper, cloth, skin, hair, or any other material that may burn. The flame and hot wax will cause the container to become hot and may cause fire or burns. Burning candles should never be left unattended and the flame should be completely extinguished after each use. Do not eat the wax or store food or beverages in the container. Do not put your nose near the flame when sniffing the scent of the candle. Keep wick trimmed to
1/4 inch or less to avoid smoking. Discontinue burning when less than
1/2 inch of wax left in glass container.
